Nyala is the fastest, easiest way to get your phone or tablet on a local WiFi network. Instead of fumbling network names and passwords on your keyboard, use Nyala to scan in the details and it will automatically connect you to the network.
1. Generate a QRCode for the network you want to connect to.
2. Tap the “Scan to Connect” Button to scan in the code. Nyala will connect you automatically.
Use the “Share Barcode” feature to share a recent scan with a friend, so they can connect too!
This app requires the ZXing BarcodeScanner app to function correctly.
Nyala supports the following formats for encoding WiFi details in a QRCode:
ZXing WIFI Format:
Bug reports/crashes/etc. are always welcome.
Please review/rate if you have the time.
Rewrote parsing method used to read ZXing-formatted WIFI QRCodes. This should fix most of the “crash on scan” problems that have been reported.
bugfixes for connection follow-through for first-time launch and when “auto-connect” was not selected in Preferences.
Fix to handle exceptions if BarcodeScanner is not installed.
If BarcodeScanner is not installed, the user will be asked to install it from the Play Store. If they decline, Nyala exits.
