Description

People with diabetes all need to know about the potential long term effects of their disease.
If not managed correctly, diabetes may affect the blood vessels in a person’s eyes and cause a condition called retinopathy which, if left untreated, can be harmful to a person’s ability to see. This lesson teaches the effects of diabetes on a person’s eyes and discusses the need for regular eye exam to test for any damage to the eyes.

This richly illustrated interactive lesson is offered in written and spoken English and Spanish in a way that makes the topic easy to understand. About every minute, the lesson asks you a question to make sure the key ideas were explained clearly.
