Description
People with diabetes, especially those with Type I Diabetes, need to know about insulin and its role in controlling the level of glucose (blood sugar). This lesson teaches about what insulin is, how to test your level of glucose and what to do if your glucose level is too high. It also teaches how to properly store and care for insulin and discusses the different types of insulin and how each may be used.
This richly illustrated interactive lesson is offered in written and spoken English and Spanish in a way that makes the topic easy to understand. About every minute, the lesson asks you a question to make sure the key ideas were explained clearly.
