Description

People with diabetes all need to know about the potential long term effects of their disease.
If not managed correctly, diabetes may affect the blood vessels in a person’s kidneys. If left untreated, diabetes can be severely reduce kidney function and may lead to the person needing dialysis. This lesson teaches the effects of diabetes on a person’s kidneys and discusses the necessity of managing the disease before the kidneys begin to fail.
