Channel One News Jr. engages students with authentic learning experiences that create a connection between core subjects and real world events. The in-school program offers interactive activities and teacher resources.
Early field tests showed that the authentic learning experiences provided by Channel One News Interactive Jr. fostered high levels of engagement as students connected what they learned in the classroom to events happening in the real world. Engaging with Channel One News Interactiv Jr. increased students’ interest in current events prompting further discussion in class and at home.
Now with this new app, parents and families can view the daily news broadcast on their mobile devices and keep in touch with the current events their children are learning in school.
