Description
The Inter-American Education Center (IEC) is an institution of the Inter-‐ American Division (IAD) of the Seventh-‐day Adventist organization, which uses the online education methodology in order to achieve its academic goals.
The IAD, facing the challenge of facilitating to its different countries the mechanisms, strategies and educational innovative tools adapted to the new paradigm of virtual education decided on 2007 to establish the IEC.
Seeing the educational needs in the fields of all its territory, the IAD decided to establish the mentioned education center as a way to facilitate education solutions based on the philosophical principles and values of the educational system of the SDA organization, but without the limitations of schedules or classrooms.
