Highlighting JAPAN

Description

This is an English language informational magazine issued each month by the Government of Japan.

Each edition highlights various themes such as “Cool Japan (pop culture, fashion and design, etc.),” “New Energy” and “International Exchange” and so on and introduces the current state of important Japanese policies and culture in easy to understand language.

Each edition also introduces conditions in Japan as it strives to recover from the Great East Japan Earthquake that struck on March 11, 2011.

Popular serial columns include YAMATO NADESHIKO, which focuses on Japanese women active in various fields from business to arts, JAPAN BRAND, which introduces examples of new works created by arranging traditional lacquer ware and iron crafts and so on with a modern touch, and THE NATION’S MUSEUMS, in which overseas reporters tour Japan’s unique art galleries and museums.
