Note: Gas prices are updated as often as the database is updated, which is usually at least once a day. Per gallon prices do not include promotional discounts, however, gas station owners may inadvertently update the database with an incorrect or promotional value. Because of this potential human error, accuracy of per gallon price is not absolutely guaranteed, but it should be accurate 99% of the time.

It uses current location or user defined address, compares the actual driving distance to each station (not as the crow flies), and is optimized to minimize price. It includes cost of travel (mileage) and cost of filling up completely in the calculation.
