Description

Fat Cat Santa Chat is an Augmentative and Assistive Communication (AAC) app designed to make visiting Santa easier. It is designed primarily for interaction with a department store or shopping mall Santa, but could be used in other similar situations. It facilitates the standard remarks and responses that Santa’s visitors are expected to make.

Many kids, whether or not they use AAC software, are shy when visiting Santa. Visiting Santa is supposed to be a fun holiday tradition, not a stressful ordeal. So, Fat Cat Santa Chat gives speedy access to the 10 phrases most needed in this situation:

(g) A customizable answer to the question, “What do you want for Christmas?”
(h) A customizable help button that gives name, address, phone number, and contact information in case the user becomes lost in a shopping mall or department store

Santa Chat has a standard AAC interface, with a unique utterance for each button, and a unique icon for each utterance. Of course, most of the icons include cute orange cats.
