Find out what is happening around you. Tell others what you are doing, right here, right now. Make things happen, here and now!

Stigly lets you share your experiences, emotions and observations with others by tagging the real world with “stigs”, or messages, wherever you are. You can also see what others have to say in their stigs. How you decide to use these stigs is up to you.

For example, you might discover hotspots happening right now near you or post your own activity or reviews. Or you can use stigs to find your friends and coordinate meet up locations. Be the first to populate your stig universe. Invite your friends to Stigly and together explore all the possibilities.

Since Stigly is all about the here and now, the information you leave in stigs decays over time unless reinforced by other members of the community. This means that the stigs you see on the map are current and reflect what’s happening now – out of date information will simply disappear from the map.

If you are using Facebook or Twitter already, you can use your logon with them to access Stigly. You can even send your stigs as tweets to your twitter account or as posts to Facebook.

Stigly is the new social, local app that ants would have built.

Stigly is free and anonymous (unless you register using your Twitter or Facebook account).

This is a first release for early adopters who like to explore new applications.

We’d love to hear what you think of Stigly, including any suggestions on how we can improve it. Gives us your feedback via or

The name Stigly comes from “stigmergy” the term for a mechanism of indirect coordination between agents or actions. Stigmergy is a form of self-organization that produces complex, seemingly intelligent structures without need for any planning, control or even direct communication between the agents.
