hi downloaded this app I have java on my laptop but its says not recognised on playbooks im getn nowhere here plz heplp thanx linda
I am so frustrated. I installed the java, ddpb and did the development mode for my pb. I connect on ddpb installer. I download the app I want and then that is where I am lost. I do the 'add' on ddpb but it does not find the app downloaded to my computer. I played around a little and I used a converter first and it did find that file. The app was on my pb but when I would try to open it would say it is unavailable at this time. I don't even know what to do next. I am not a techie person. I just want the kindle app for when I am in the hospital. That is ALL I want. lol Does the ddpb convert the app I am downloading from .apk to the extension I need or do I do that separately BEFORE loading it into the ddpb?
You don't need some java and Bla Bla in this case.. Every thing after that is just to looking for good android apps convert in bar. And in goodereader have to plenty of them
while connecting to playbook my pc gives message "java is not t recognised as internal or external command".what to do ? pls. help
Very grateful for this Whatsapp version that is compatible with Playbook. It is working great and really can't imagine life without it now! Do have one minor question- is there a way to get rid of the message "This version of Whatsapp became obsolete on xxxx (date). Please go to Google Play to download the latest version." It always pops up and stops me from using Whatsapp after a month or two I use a newer version of Whatsapp. I get around it by turning off the function "Set Date and Time Automatically" . I have a feeling this message has nothing to do with the version being obsolete but rather it is a bug.
Hmmm......I tried instagram and says my Z10 doesnt meet camera requirements. I know about iGrann but wanted to try the actual app. Thanks.
I managed to get Youspin Lite to work on BB Playbook but as soon as I installed the Honeycomb_launcher.bar (3.89 mb) it now does not work even though I uninstalled the launcher.
Has anyone been able to successfully convert and install the "Metal Gear Solid 5: GZ" app for latest Playbook OS 126.96.36.1995
I have tried to download DDPB intaller but my laptop keeps saying that the admistrator is blocking this program, how do I change settings to get past this block.
See this site from Crackberry to learn an alternative to DDPB for installing files. Pretty much drag & drop with this Chrome extension and much easier in my view.
Probably won't make difference for an app that refuses to open but worth a try.
i have been trying to install netflix on my playbook with no luck. they are bar files done with DDBP. I did everything the same as I did with any other app and it says done and still no netflix on the playbook.
I've found some apps work and some don't, probably because updates from BB render them obsolete and authors haven't had time to update them. The Playbook has great hardware for video/audio and some excellent apps but if you're missing essential apps, it probably would make sense to exchange it for another type.
I am new with the Playbook, trying to make it work for me. But there are several apps I needed that of course aren't listed for BB. But I found them here. I have followed the directions to download and I get the app on my screen. When I try to open it its black with the logo then poof, its gone. Not sure what to do, is this something that will get better in the future? like if I try back later? When I try to download on the tablet it downloads then tells me it is Unable to find default app. Not sure what to do, my husband says take the playbook back and get a different tablet. I really need just a couple of apps and I would be happy with it, it isn't for games or anything else. I really want to like it.
This is so cool!
But I've discovered a new cool way to fill out PDF forms too.
Check PDFfiller.com. I was able to get forms and fill it out through http://goo.gl/CxQL5U.
After you would have the capability of Printing, saving, sending fax and even SendtoSign. Amazing!
I'm unable to download.
When I click on a file to download, all I get is a blank screen with something like this in the address bar: http://apps.goodereader.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=222 . I'm using FF latest version on W7 64-bit machine and I have my Avast antivirus shields off. Any suggestions?
I am noticing several of the BAR files not working. Flixster, Netflix, XM Sirius USA just to name a few. Thanks,
Has anyone been able to successfully convert and install the "Metal Gear Solid 5: GZ" app for Playbook 188.8.131.523
Hello, I am new to all this "side-loading, bar files" process. I recently got a blackberry and am trying to side-load a couple apps available to androids. so far i followed all the steps: downloading chrome, imputing ip address, up loading bb10/playbook manager...and now I'm stuck. what do I do next?
I do see a long list of apps listed on the playbook manager, but I want to know how I find the ones I want? do i need to put bar files on the list, if so, how do I do that..where do I find them? I don't really understand what a bar file even is
If this helps, the apps I;m looking for are: google maps, pandora, words with friends and mindbody
@LindaMcculloughOsprey you need to install java 32
@prakhar you need to install Java 32, just google for it and install. If you already have it installed, uninstall it and install 32 bit
@VernonPillay yes. It's work.
@Amboman you need to go to your control panel, select user accounts and select 'user account controls on or off'
@Amboman right click on the app and click run as administrator.
@SheriTrawczynski there is only 1 version of netflix that works with the playbook.
@jkmidqatar If you want to install BAR files you need to download DDPB and use that to install the BAR file from your PC to your BB10 device.
@VernonPillay we just tried it, does not work, sorry!
Thank you for your quick response. Is this app impossible in order to work on Blackberry Playbook OS 2.1.0. 1753?
